Bar Juggling in the English Garden

Walking one warm summer day in the English Garden (a public park) in Geneva, I came across these three young men who were practicing their bar juggling on the lawn. After filming them, I asked them for their permission to upload the video onto the web. They acquiesced warmly! I found the perfect piece of music on the Current APM music library. There is one particularly magic moment when the young man with a red shirt's movements match the music absolutely perfectly - 1:20 to 1:50 or thereabouts! At one point, a rude old lady walked right in front of my camera in spite of my signs to her asking her to walk behind me. I slightly lost my cool at that point. Don't you hate it when people do that to you?

Anyway, the old lady notwithstanding, I am quite pleased with this little video.

For best results, click on HQ as soon as the video launches, and use headphones.

Enjoy!

Maurice Béjart was a close friend of my uncle and aunt. I met him at my uncle's home in 1974, at the time he had newly converted to Sufism. His personality impressed me enormously, even though it annoyed my aunt to a great degree.

Rest in peace, Maurice.

Tango Animation - En Tus Brazos (In Your Arms)

"Enjoy the beautiful French animation movie "En Tus Brazos" about how nothing can stop a tango dancing couple ... not even fate. It abounds with creativity, sentiment and argentine tango.

"The greatest tango dancer of the 20's is stuck in a wheelchair after a tragic accident. Thanks to his wife, he recovers the use of his legs, the time of one imaginary dance, ending entreating passionately "Don't stop, hold me tight".

"Directed by François-Xavier Goby http://fxgoby.free.fr/home.html Edouard Jouret and Matthieu Landour. France 2005. Presented on festivals in Paris, Séoul and Bristol. Original version on http://www.entusbrazos.fr/

"Music (first part): "En Tus Brazos" by Alfredo de Angelis and Oscar Larroca (vocal). Composition by Carlos Zárate. Lyric by Elizardo Martínez Vilas.

"Music (final part): "El Huracán" by Edgardo Donato. Composition by Osvaldo Donato."

The Gurdjieff Movements presented by Jeanne de Salzmann

"The Gurdjieff Movements are here presented by Jeanne de Salzmann, his prime pupil. This is a rare bootleg of a film made by Jeanne de Salzmann in collaboration with members of the Gurdjieff Foundation in an effort to preserve a visual record of the sacred movements and dances taught by Gurdjieff ever since he appeared in the West in 1912. Best to watch in silence, alone, in a darkened room:)"
